THIS IS MY STORY
As an actor Jennifer is currently at Seattle Rep. for the OSF sensation from The 1491s, Between Two Knees.
She is also busy writing plays. First up The A.R.C. at The Vagrancy. Next a play about coming home during the pandemic at Moving Arts MADlab. Lastly, a workshop at 13th Annual Native Voices Short Play Festival.
Jennifer is Anishinaabekwe from Misswezhaging a signatory to the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850. She is a First Nations Actress, Writer, Accidental Producer and Content Creator.
Theater credits include World Premieres of Devilfish by Vera Starbard; Whale Song by Cathy Tagnak Rexford; Bingo Hall by Dillon Chitto; Fairly Traceable by Mary Kathryn Nagel; They Don't Talk Back by Frank Henry Kaash Katasse at Native Voices' and La Jolla Playhouse and a northern Alaska tour of Winterbear by Anne Hanley. Worked as an Understudy on Manahatta at Yale Rep. Other credits include APTN's (Canada) Mohawk Girls, Love-Stupid, Short Term TV, Life with Kat and McKay.
Having always loved technology, she jumped at the chance to make her own content in the infancy of YouTube. Becoming an accidental producer, she has produced over 400 episodes of online content, other people's projects and a ton of theater. She is also crazy about Social Media and loves to teach people how to use it effectively.
Writing credits include Never Say Die at the American Indian Center House in NYC, her solo show "There is no "I" in NDN, was workshopped at Native Voices at the Autry. She was also an Artist in Residence at Thurgood Marshall College at UC San Diego for the 2014-2015 season.
Her solo-show had been years in the making and spawned Jennifer's creation of her YouTube channel Welcome to..., where she and her co-host Geraldine Chases-her-Tail look to create a happy place on the internet.
